The SK hynix Inc. (Korean:에스케이하이닉스 주식회사), commonly known as SK hynix, is a South Korean multinational semiconductor manufacturer specializing in memory chips, storage solutions, and advanced integrated circuits. Headquartered in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea, the company is one of the world's largest producers of dynamic random-access memory (DRAM) and NAND flash memory. Originally established in 1983 as Hyundai Electronics Industries Co., Ltd., the company underwent several corporate restructurings before becoming Hynix Semiconductor in 2001 and adopting its current name after its acquisition by SK Group in 2012. SK hynix is publicly traded on the Korea Exchange (KRX) and supplies semiconductor products to customers across consumer electronics, data centers, mobile devices, automotive systems, artificial intelligence (AI), and enterprise computing markets.

SK hynix designs, manufactures, and markets a broad portfolio of semiconductor products, including DRAM, NAND flash memory, solid-state drives (SSDs), high-bandwidth memory (HBM), image sensors, and memory packaging solutions. The company's memory products are widely used in personal computers, smartphones, servers, graphics processors, cloud computing infrastructure, automotive electronics, industrial equipment, and Internet of Things (IoT) devices. In recent years, SK hynix has become a leading supplier of advanced HBM products used in artificial intelligence accelerators and high-performance computing systems, supporting the growing demand for AI training and inference workloads. The company operates semiconductor fabrication facilities, research and development centers, and advanced packaging plants in South Korea and internationally.

In addition to semiconductor manufacturing, SK hynix invests extensively in research, process technology, and advanced semiconductor packaging. The company develops successive generations of DRAM, NAND flash, and HBM technologies while pursuing innovations in three-dimensional memory architectures, extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography, chip stacking, energy efficiency, and advanced packaging. In 2021, SK hynix completed the acquisition of Intel's NAND memory and solid-state drive business, significantly expanding its storage product portfolio through its subsidiary Solidigm. The company also participates in industry initiatives relating to sustainability, carbon reduction, responsible sourcing, and semiconductor supply chain resilience.

SK hynix works closely with global technology companies, semiconductor equipment manufacturers, research organizations, and industry associations. Its products are supplied to leading customers including Nvidia, Advanced Micro Devices, Intel, Apple Inc., Microsoft, Amazon, Dell Technologies, and other manufacturers of computing and consumer electronics. The company also collaborates with organizations such as JEDEC Solid State Technology Association, SEMI, and government agencies supporting semiconductor research and industrial policy. Through technological innovation, large-scale manufacturing, and investment in next-generation memory technologies, SK hynix has become one of the world's leading semiconductor companies and a key participant in the global electronics and artificial intelligence supply chain.
